Elena Vicario Orri
Dr. Elena Vicario Orri is the Head of Research Integrity at Frontiers. She joined Frontiers in 2017 after earning a PhD in Neurosciences at the University of California San Diego (UCSD). She currently supervises a team of 70+ Research Integrity specialists and managers, dedicated to maintaining high quality research and ethical standards in all Frontiers submissions and investigating concerns around breaches of research integrity and publication ethics. She has helped develop new checks and AI-powered tools for robust quality triage as well as been responsible for workflow and policy updates to maintain quality at scale and ensure only valid articles are published.
