The 3rd China Science and Technology Summit-World Forum for Science and Technology Journals is organized around the theme of "Connecting - Mutual Benefit - Co-Governance - The New Mission of Science and Technology Journals in the Era of Big Data", with three keynote sessions, a special session on China's Science and Technology Journal Excellence Action Plan, and a dialogue among international experts.
The keynote session will focus on global trends in science and technology publishing, service capacity building, journal ecological integration and development, and academic publishing to promote research.
Leaders of relevant departments and representatives of international publishing institutions will be invited to exchange views with representatives of selected journals, providing practical experience and valuable suggestions for the development of Chinese scientific and technical journals.
During the dialogue sessions, leaders of top domestic and foreign scientific and technical journals, representatives of publishing platform operators, journal database operators, professional and technical service providers, representatives of domestic and foreign research funding agencies, and representatives of scientific resource and data management agencies will hold international dialogues focusing on the opportunities and challenges of publishing and dissemination transformation, open publishing and publishing dissemination, and so on.
To ensure that the Forum will continue to play an important role as a dialogue platform for the development of international scientific and technical journals under the impact of the new coronary pneumonia epidemic, the organizer of the Forum will adopt the model of "online + offline", that is, domestic experts will communicate offline and some foreign experts will communicate live or recorded online in the three activities, so as to maintain the important feature of international mutual learning to the maximum extent.
